Price

Size

When choosing a size make sure you figure out how big your dog will grow.  You don’t want your dog to grow out of the bed too quickly.  Have your dog lay down and measure from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail.  This will tell you the diameter of the dog bed to buy.

Shape

Dog beds are available in almost any shape you can image, square, rectangular, circular, oval, etc.  Again the most important thing is that the shape fits your dog.  Some people prefer corner dog beds so they fit away nicely.  Round dog beds always seem to stick out if you have a small room.

Material

If you want a high quality long lasting dog bed than you need to see what dog bed is made out of.  High quality orthopedic foam, double stitched seams, and a chew resistant heating cord is a must.

Heated

One of the last decisions to make when buying a dog bed is do you want it to be heated?  Heated dog beds can be found for under $30, so don’t let the though of an expensive heated dog bed scare you off, because they are actually not that expensive.
